Overview

Small design agency with employees in several states wanted an HR assessment to determine future HR needs and ensure they were compliant with all federal, state, and local laws.

Challenge

The company is relatively new and did not have any historical HR support. During a time of substantial growth, they wanted to ensure their HR needs were being met and their HR processes can grow with the company.

VIVO SOLUTION

Reviewed all their personnel documents on file or via their HRIS system:

  • Created an audit spreadsheet to ensure all documents were accounted for each employee

Interviewed key stakeholders to determine the following:

  • Current policies and practices in place
Future goals of the company and how that will align with their HR needs
Relevant historical information on the company

RESULT

  • Provided company with a detailed breakdown of any missing compliance documents, such as I-9 forms and required tax forms
  • Made recommendations for updated policies and best practices for HR processes
  • Resulted in an ongoing HRO partnership! We’ve updated their employee handbook and we’ve collaborated with the client to provide templates, help streamline onboarding and offboarding processes, set up short-term disability insurance, and assist with performance related issues.
